Features of the procedure
During a consultation with an Ayurvedic specialist, a blend of herbal powders is selected based on the patient’s constitution and physical condition. The herbal powder or paste is warmed before application. The procedure is performed in seven different body positions through rubbing and deep-pressure massage over a specific period of time. The massage therapist works on the body’s biologically active points, stimulating the nerve endings. Udhvartnam balances Kapha and Vata and helps dissolve subcutaneous fat, promotes weight loss, drains the lymphatic channels, and regulates metabolism. Udhvartanam lowers blood pressure and cholesterol levels, removes toxins from the body, and strengthens and tones the muscles.
